Sequences and follow-ups

The first email and the follow-ups that go to people who have not replied.

What it is

The Sequence tab shows the first email and every follow-up in order. A reply always stops the sequence for that person.

1 Write with AI. 2 The first email. 3 Message score.

Add a follow-up

  1. Open the campaign and go to the Sequence tab.
  2. In Add a follow-up at the bottom, set how many days to wait after the previous email.
  3. Write the subject and body, or switch on AI writes a personalised email for each prospect.
  4. Click Save sequence. Follow-ups go only to people who have not replied.
1 Days to wait. 2 Let AI write it. 3 Subject and body.

Options for each step

  • Open More options to choose who gets this email (for example only people who clicked a link).
  • Send as a reply in the same thread keeps the follow-up under the first email. This is recommended.
  • Each step shows a message score and any issues found in the text.
  • Pause a step to skip it without deleting it, or click Remove follow-up.
  • A sequence can have up to 10 steps.
1 Who gets this email. 2 Send in the same thread. 3 Pause or remove the step.

Write with AI

Write with AI at the top drafts the whole sequence from a short description of your goal and your AI Training. Review the draft, then save it.

The emails are short and casual: an observation, why it matters, a small offer and a soft question. The first name, the short company name and your signature stay as merge fields, so each person gets their own.

Tips

  • Two or three short follow-ups a few days apart usually work better than one long email.
  • Follow-ups count toward each mailbox's daily limit.
  • With A/B test two sequences on, the Sequence tab has a Sequence A and a Sequence B tab.
