AI Warmup

Build a mailbox's reputation before and while it sends campaigns, and follow every mailbox on one page.

What warmup does

Your mailbox sends a few short, everyday emails a day to other mailboxes in the warmup pool, and receives theirs.

For every warmup email it receives, it finds the email, moves it from spam to the inbox if needed, marks it as important, replies to some of them and then deletes it. Mailbox providers learn that people want your mail.

The AI Warmup page

  • Open AI Warmup (the flame) under Deliverability in the menu.
  • The top row shows mailboxes warming, warmup emails sent, how many landed in the inbox, how many were rescued from spam, replies sent and the average health.
  • Each row shows a mailbox's switch, progress, today's sends, inbox rate over 14 days and health score.
  • Click a mailbox to open its Warmup tab with all its settings.
1 Totals for every mailbox. 2 Warmup on or off. 3 Progress. 4 Health score.

Turn it on

  1. Open AI Warmup or Email accounts.
  2. Click the flame next to the mailbox. It turns orange when warmup is on.
  3. Open the mailbox's Warmup tab to change the settings.

How long it takes

  • Warmup takes about three weeks. The status moves from Not warmed up yet to Almost warmed up and then Warmed up, with the day shown under it.
  • It sends up to 20 warmup emails a day, starting lower and growing a little each day.
  • Keep warmup on after that, even while campaigns send.

Warmup settings

  • Daily warmup emails and Daily increase: how many to start with, how fast to grow and the most per day.
  • Schedule: send every day, or weekdays only.
  • Reply rate: how many warmup emails get a reply.
  • Mailbox protection (on the Settings tab of the email account): campaigns pause on the mailbox when its health falls below your limit (90 by default, 70 at the lowest). Warmup keeps running. When health is back 5 points above your limit it resumes on its own after an hour, or you resume it yourself, as you choose.
1 Daily warmup emails. 2 Daily increase. 3 Weekdays only.

Warmup emails

  • Built-in library: thousands of natural, varied everyday emails of 70 to 80 words.
  • My own emails: write your own subjects and bodies, short and without links or offers.
  • Both, mixed: a mix of the two.
  • Write them with AI: answer a short set of required questions about your company, pick how many emails, and click Write with AI. This is part of the paid plans and uses one credit per email (none with your own AI model).
  • Write every warmup email with AI: switch it on in the Warmup tab of an email account and click Save. Each warmup email is then written new by AI from your Train the AI writer details, with a different subject, topic and length every time and never one this mailbox sent before. Emails with spam words, links, capitals or too many exclamation marks are rewritten or not used. This is part of the paid plans and uses one credit per email (none with your own AI model). When credits run out or the AI is unavailable, warmup keeps sending its usual emails. Switching it off returns the credits for emails written ahead and not sent.
  • Train the AI writer (on the AI Warmup page): answer the questions once and click Save for all email accounts. After you confirm, every email account uses them, and any account can still change them in its own warmup settings.

Health score

Each mailbox has a health score out of 100. It drops with the share of warmup emails that landed in spam, and when more than 1% of its campaign emails hard-bounce, both over the last 14 days. Recent days count more, and the score climbs back once problems stop. The Warmup tab of each email account shows what the score is made of.

1 Health score. 2 Warmed up status. 3 What the score is made of.
